In July 2025, Relevance AI's rapid growth had created an unintended problem. Three separate builder environments with unique UI patterns: Workforce Builder, Agent Builder, Tool Builder

Together, they created a fragmented user experience. New users couldn't understand how pieces connected and Solution Engineers lost time switching context.

I led a passion project to unify all three builders into a single canvas workspace.

The Challenge: Three Disconnected Builders

Interviews with new users and Solution Engineers revealed a clear pattern: fragmented environments create disconnected mental models and inefficiencies.

Disconnected editing contexts, inconsistent interaction patterns, and obscured relationships between components caused confusion. Users had to mentally stitch together understanding across multiple environments.

❌ New users struggled with:

Couldn't see how agents, tools, and workflows connected into larger system
Each builder used different UI patterns, multiplying cognitive load
Steep learning curve from single-agent to multi-agent systems
Credit usage hidden across interfaces
Heavy reliance on text over visual indicators
No idea how to access help

❌ Solution Engineers (building custom enterprise agents) faced:

Navigation friction and workflow inefficiencies from jumping between multiple environments to create one agent use case per Enterprise client
Lost sight of the bigger system while editing individual components
Constant context switching leading to spending above predicted levels on each client
